get involved

It’s wonderful that you’re interested in helping stray and homeless animals!

Here are some ways you can get involved and make a difference.

1. ADOPT
DON’T SHOP

Adopt a pet: If you’re ready to commit to a pet and responsible pet ownership, consider adopting from a shelter or rescue organization instead of buying from a pet store or breeder. This helps to save lives and reduce the number of homeless pets in shelters. Roughly 6.5 million animals enter shelters each year but only 4.1 million are adopted. Be a loving light and adopt a precious pet. Never adopt or buy a pet unless you are ready for the long-term commitment of caring for and raising your pet.

2. FOSTER

Foster an animal: Fostering an animal is a great way to provide a temporary home for a homeless pet. This helps to reduce overcrowding in shelters and also gives the animal a chance to socialize and get used to living in a home environment. There are many dogs and cats that need to be fostered, and they are waiting for a loving temporary home. You can sign up to be a foster at a local non-profit

3. DONATE

Donate to animal non-profit organizations: Many animal organizations rely on donations to fund their operations. You can donate money to raise awareness, for food, blankets, kennels, spay & neuter, microchipping, or donate supplies to help support these organizations. Consider donating to RouTTe One Productions. Sales from the film and donations received will help support ongoing efforts to help the animals in Houston.
